James Allen Lundy Standley, 65, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, in Navarre, Florida, from cancer. His body was cremated and no services were held. Jim was born in Klemme on May 19, 1942. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service as a helicopter mechanic. After retirement he worked in the civil service as a helicopter mechanic. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda; two daughters, Fay of Navarre and Lori of Altamont, Illinois; four grandchildren, Christy of Florida, Whitney, Brandon and Andrew of Illinois. Survivors also include three sisters, Donnitta Hayungs of Garner, Cindy Koelm of Altamont, Illinois and Kathy Kimbrough of Mount Pleasant; a brother, Donald Standley of Garner; two step-children, Melody and Craig; and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Bernadine Standley; his grandparents, Orris and Nona Lundy; grandmother, Goldie Standley; and many uncles and aunts.
