Louise Anna Priebe, 86, died Feb. 4, 2003. Funeral services were held at Peace Reformed Church in Garner Friday, Feb. 7, 2003 with Rev. Jeff DeBoer officiating. Burial was in Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme. Music was provided by Connie Greiman, organist and Grant and Brenda Anderson, vocalists. Ushers were Steve Lenz and Cory Greiman. Casketbearers were Calvin Josten, Clark Priebe, Jerry Kropp, Rodney Linsenmeyer, Marvin Josten, Craig Priebe, and Matthew Harvey. Honorary casketbearers were Keith Priebe, Clarke Priebe, Gretchen Olson, Rodney Linsenmeyer, Carla Harvey, Matthew Priebe, Koryssa Priebe, Carrie Priebe, Johnathon Olson, Jetta Harvey, Michael Priebe, Kaylin Priebe, Craig Priebe, Julia Olson, Jane Linsenmeyer, Josiah Harvey, and Laura Priebe.

Louise Anna, the daughter of Frank and Louise (Kropp) Rosendahl, was born March 15, 1916 on a farm southwest of Garner. She was baptized at Peace Reformed Church in Garner and confirmed at Immanuel Reformed (United Church of Christ) in Klemme. She was active in the church choir and Bible class. On Dec. 11, 1935 Louise married Verner B. Priebe of Klemme. They farmed south and east of Klemme. For a period of time they owned and operated motels in Garner and Humboldt. Louise enjoyed gardening, quilting, singing and playing hymns on the piano and reading stories from the Hurlbut's Story of the Bible to her children.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband Verner; infant daughter, Joan; her parents; three brothers: Ervin, Walter and Franklin; two sisters: Della Josten and Mabel Schlawin; and a stillborn brother. Survivors include two sons and one daughter: Carroll (Karen) Priebe of Klemme; Kathleen (Dale) Linsenmeyer of Beatrice, NE; Seth (Madelyn) Priebe of Klemme; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren: Keith (Aimee) Priebe and children, Koryssa and Kaylin of Knoxville, TN; Clark Priebe of Webster City; Carrie Priebe of Hope Sound, FL; Craig Priebe of Buffalo Center; Grechen (Thomas) Olson and children, Johnathon and Julia of Forest Grove, OR; Rodney (Sharon) Linsenmeyer of Beatrice, NE; Carla (Matthew) Harvey and children, Jetta and Josiah of Beatrice, NE and Jane Linsenmeyer of Lincoln, NE; Matthew Priebe, Ames; Michael and Laura Priebe of Klemme.
