Orville Smith Shahan, 74, died June 2, 2002, at his home in Federal Heights, AZ. Funeral services were held Friday, June 7, at Baucke Funeral Chapel in Yuma, AZ. He was born August 25, 1927 to Leander and Mary Carter Shahan. Orville enlisted in the Merchant Marines, then went to work for Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. for 32 years as a field service engineer, retiring in 1990. Orville was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Lee Shahan; four brothers, Stanley, Howard, Edwin and Carole Shahan; two sisters, Lola Pals and Ada Hughes; and daughter Judith Ann Winard. Survivor is his wife Pearl (Chandler) Shahan.
