Mary (Gabel) Steinwandt, 82, of San Lorenzo, CA died Dec. 3, 2002 at San Leandro, CA. Funeral services were held Dec. 10 at Hayward, CA. Mary, the daughter of Fred and Marie (Lorenzo) Gabel, was born Nov. 20, 1920 at Belmond. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Belmond, and graduated from Alexander High School in 1938. She is survived by her husband Carl Steinwandt, daughters: Carlene Ensor and Cheryl Hart; son Michael Steinwandt all of California; three sisters: Ann Shepherd of Pontiac, MI, Esther Cooper of Hampton and Betty Lepper of Belmond.
