Phillip Gene Biddle, 66, of Rowan died Monday, August 14, 2000, at his home in Rowan, Iowa. Memorial services for Phillip Biddle were held on Thursday, Aug. 17, at the United Church of Rowan with Rev. JoAn Skyrme officiating. Phillip Gene Biddle was born on July 31, 1934, the son of Joseph and Bernice (Williams) Biddle at Rowan. Phillip was raised and educated in Rowan and graduated from the Rowan schools. On June 4, 1955, he was united in marriage to Elenor Anderson. To this union, five children were born. Phillip worked for Maytag and later had his own business in Lake Mills. When he retired, he moved to Arizona; returning to Rowan last year. Phillip was preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Peggy Sue. Survivors are his mother, Bernice Biddle of Rowan; his four sons, Mike Biddle of Lake Mills, Patrick Biddle of Rowan, Phillip Biddle of Tucson, AZ, and Tim Biddle of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Janet Granath of Phoenix, AZ.
