Leon "Keith" Madsen, 64, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001 at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, OR. Memorial services will be held in Ames March 21 at 2 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel. Keith, the son of Fred and Gladys Madsen was born June 22, 1936, at Belmond. He married Judy Kay Larsen at Alexander. Keith had lived in the Rogue Valley area since 1998, moving from Ames. He was in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1963. He enjoyed fishing, whitewater rafting and camping. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Boyd Madsen. Survivors are his wife, Judy of Ames; three daughters Sabrina Swenson of Ames, and twins, Stacia Madsen of St. Paul, MN, and Shannon Boyer of Burnsville, MN; brother, Allan Madsen of Champaign, IL; sisters, Gloria Layton of White City, OR, Beverly Nutt of Huntsville, AL, and Marilynn Graham of Houston, TX; and six grandchildren.
