Funeral services for Lismore Stole of Clarion will be held Thursday, July 27, 2000 at the First Lutheran Church at Clarion. Burial will follow in Norway Township Cemetery. Lismore Stole was born on January 21, 1901, the son of John and Dora (Asbe) Stole. He was a life-long resident of Wright County. On October 3, 1925, he was united in marriage to Carrie Sampson at Eagle Grove.
He served in many areas of leadership at St. John's Lutheran Church. He was the oldest member when it closed in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carrie in 1994; four sisters, Alma, Marie, Hannah and Anna Mae; and brothers, Alvald and Jay. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Dona Gene and Ray Mills of Clarion, and Lois and Alvin Berg of Roseville, MN; a sister, Leona Boehme of Birmingham, AL.
