Jack L. Greiner, age 76 years 18 days of rural Bloomfield, Iowa died 8 Jun 2002 at his home. He was born 21 May 1926, in Popejoy, IA to Larval L. and Vesta O. Strickland Greiner. He married Joan Roach 12 Jun 1948 in Floris, IA. He served in the United States Navy during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was a resident of Davis County most of his life. He was a farmer and had worked at John Deere in Ottumwa for 27 years, before retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Dunville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Ted and wife Marlene Greiner, and Matt and wife Tammy Greiner all of Bloomfield; 8 grandchildren, Jeff and Molly Greiner, Jill Greiner, Hayley and Heath Greiner, Melissa Greiner, Jessica Reyes and Brittany and Felicia Shepard; 2 great grandchildren, Shelby and Chance, his mother-in-law Bea Hougland of Bloomfield, a brother-in-law, Tom Roach and a sister-in-law Marilyn Crawford, both of Bloomfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Sally Greiner, a grandson Eric Greiner; a granddaughter Holly Greiner and a brother, Billy Greiner.
