SUNDAY FUNERAL FOR F. BARBER
Mrs. Florence B. Barber, aged 81 years, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday evening at the home of her son, Jerome E. Barber in Lehigh. She had been seriously ill since last Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 2:30 Sunday at the Foster Funeral Home, preceded by a short service at 1:30 p.m. at the son's home in Lehigh. Rev. Allen, pastor of the Christian Church in Lehigh will officiate and burial will be on the family lot in the Cass Center Cemetery, north of Webster City.
Florence Belle Kepler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Kepler was born Aug. 7, 1866 in Illinois. As a small child, she came with her parents to Iowa where they made their home on a farm six miles northeast of Webster City in the Cass Center Community. She was educated and reared in this community where she was united in marriage to Stephen Barber. After their marriage they farmed near Rock Rapids for several years, then returned to Webster City where Mr. Barber was a rural mail carrier for thirteen years.
Mr. Barber preceded her in death in 1912, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, her parents, one sister and two brothers. She is survived by one son, Jerome E. of Lehigh, ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and also one brother, Oscar Kepler of Webster City and one sister, Mrs. Smith Denton of Minnesota. Mrs. Barber was baptized in the Christian faith and was a member of the Christian church in Webster City.
