Betty Nail, 82, of Webster City, died Friday, April 9, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Linda Bibb officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.
Betty Mae Dinsdale, daughter of Russell and Eva Manion Dinsdale, was born January 29, 1928 at Blairsburg. She graduated from Lincoln High at Webster City and Webster City Junior College, where she received a teaching certificate.On December 26, 1948, she married Raymond Emory Nail at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Webster City. The couple farmed northeast of Webster City. They retired in 1988 and moved to Webster City.She had taught in a rural school near Blairsburg and also taught at Blairsburg Public School for several years. She enjoyed being a homemaker.Mr. Nail died March 11, 1993.
Betty is survived by daughter-in-law, Julie Nail of Fort Dodge; granddaughter, Sara (Zac) Dietz of Waterloo; sisters and brother-in-law, Faye and Les Nicholson of Webster City; Donna Huffmyer of Seal Beach, CA; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Nickolas Nail in 2000. She was a former member of the Mulberry Center United Methodist Church; a member of Faith United Methodist Church; Town and Country Garden Club; Webster City Women's Club; Triple L Club; OTO Club; Red Hats Club and various church activities.
