January 27, 1940 - November 24, 2008

Patricia Lou Jones, the daughter of Roy Kenneth and Margaret Genevieve Sorlie Johnson, was born January 27, 1940 in Hardy, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from the Renwick High School in 1957. Pat continued her education at Waldorf College and graduated with an A.A. in 1960, she then attended Augustana College and graduated with a B.S. in 1964. Pat then went on to the University of South Dakota and received her Masters Degree in 1968. Pat married Charles G. Jones on June 8, 1968 at the First Congregational Church in Spencer, Iowa. Pat had taught 3 years at Sac City and for 33 years she was a kindergarten teacher at Johnson Elementary School in Spencer until retiring in 1997. Pat was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Spencer. She was also involved with Christian Women's, Prayer Connection, Agnes Felt Guild and also in Delta Kappa Gamma Chi Chapter, Spencer Hospital Auxiliary, Spencer Area Concert Association, Humane Society of N.W. Iowa, People For Pets, Tops IA 211, Arts on Grand and Parker Museum.

Pat passed away at her home on November 24, 2008 at the age of 68. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Charles of Spencer; her sister, Judy Ann Johnson of Spencer; 2 brothers-in-law and their wives: Dale (Pud) and Linda Jones of Spencer and Terry and Cyndy Jones of Colorado Springs, CO; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 28, 2008 at the First Congregational Church in Spencer.

VISITATION
Will begin at 8:00am on Friday with the family present from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer and then one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the First Congregational Church.
