Pneumonia is Fatal to Strathmore Man
Strathmore (Tulare Co.) March 2---J.E. Whiteley, 69, died here yesterday at his home from pneumonia. Whiteley was born in Kansas. He came to Lindsay thirty years ago, and engaged in orange growing. Surviving him are his widow, Harriett Whiteley; two sons, Ralph E. Whiteley and Barrett J. Whiteley of Strathmore; four sisters, Mrs. Blanche Williamson of Fowler, Mrs. Charles Kilmer and Mrs. Hattie Vincent of Hanford and Mrs. Ed. Wills of Cambria and two brothers, B.C. Whiteley of Vallejo and V.C. Whiteley of Sacramento. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Webb Funeral Parlors in Lindsay with Rev. Paul Prichard officiating. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery.
