Marie Louise Rasmussen, 84, of Luverne, Minn., died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Center in Luverne, Minn. She was born March 10, 1920 in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Antonio and Anna (DiPallo) Castrovilla. She attended high school in New York and attended Brooklyn College. Marie married Donald Rasmussen on March 20, 1942 in Brooklyn. After their marriage, the couple lived in various cities. Marie worked as an inspector of jet engines at General Electric. The couple moved to Luverne, Minn., in 2004.

Marie is survived by her husband, Donald Rasmussen, Luverne, Minn.; five children and their spouses, Donna Rasmussen of Cary, Karen and George Lipphardt of Tucson, Ariz., Sandra and Frank Dowie of Luverne, Minn., Peter and Penny Rasmussen of Heber Springs, Ark., and Fred and Teresa Rasmussen of Cato, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ann (John) Wick of Pompano Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Barbara Jean; her brother, Joseph Castrovilla; and a sister, Elizabeth Acquista. A time of fellowship was held at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne, Minn. Memorial services were held March 12 at The Assembly of God Church in Luverne, Minn.
