Eagle Grove -- Madeline Alice (Prehm) Fromm, was born July 20, 1910, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Joe and Alice (Stracke) Prehm. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Eagle Grove High School. On January 14, 1932, Madeline was united in marriage with Forest Wade Fromm, at Blue Earth, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove where they operated the Princess Theater for many years. Forest preceded her in death on January 27, 1985.

Madeline passed away on Monday, June 21, 2010, at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove, at the age of 99 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Doris Godfrey and Helen Adams and brother, Ronald Prehm. Survivors include her son, Forrest D. Fromm and wife Mary Ann of Bettendorf; daughter, Carole Griffin and husband Richard of Lee's Summit, MO; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010, 1:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove with Pastor James Cunningham officiating. Following the services, the family invites you to join them for coffee, cake and fellowship at the Eagle Grove United Church of Christ. The family would like memorial gifts be given to the Eagle Grove United Church of Christ.
