23 December 1886 -- 4 March 1976

Mrs. Frederick (Hattie Mae) Aldrich, 89, formerly of 214 3rd NW, died Thursday at a nursing home in State Center. Mrs. Aldrich came to Mason City from Rowan in 1936 and for a number of years worked at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She had lived at State Center the last four years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Maude) Knopf, Mason City, and Mrs. S. J. (Neva) Houghton, State Center, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be a 10:30 a.m. Monday at Major Memorial Chapel, the Rev. S. Willard Cunningham of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. Sunday until time of services.
