December 27, 1859 -- May 10, 1909

To All our relatives and acquaintances we use this means to bring the sad news that it has pleased God to call back into eternity our dear husband and father, Harm Meinders, who died suddenly on May 10, 1909 when he had a stroke. The deceased was born on the 27th of December 1859 at Ditzumer-veerlaat, Ostfriesland. In 1882 he entered into marriage with Wubbina Pals. This marriage was blessed with 2 sons and 2 daughters, of who 1 daughter died as a small child. In 1883 he came to this country and has always lived in this area. He was a charter member and founder of the Immanuel Reformed Church where he was buried in the church cemetery. The pastor of the church lead the funeral services. The wife 2 sons and a daughter as well as the father in law a daughter in law, 2 brothers and a sister mourn his passing.
