Lulu Belle Madison Brewer was born June 14, 1893, at Pawpaw, Ill., and died Aug. 12 1947, at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines after an illness of six months. She was 54 years, one month and 21 days old. At the age of five years, she moved with her family to Webster City where she received her education. On December 29, 1915, she was united in marriage to Glenn L. Brewer of Webster City. They lived in Webster City for five years, moving then to Fort Dodge. Eleven years ago they moved to Des Moines which has been their home since. To this union were born two sons, Edward W. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert G. of Des Moines. Mrs. Brewer was a member of the Methodist church of Webster City until she transferred her membership to the Westminster Presbyterian church of Des Moines. She was also a member of the Rebekah lodge of Fort Dodge, the Ladies Auxiliary of Railway Trainmen, the Ladies Auxiliary Order of Railway Conductors and the Ladies of the Moose. She is survived by her husband and sons, also one sister, Mrs. Arch Crosby of Webster City. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and also by one brother, James G. Madison. Funeral services were held at the Lilly funeral home in Des Moines with burial in Graceland cemetery.
