Kirchner on November 7, 1934. After Charlie’s death in October of 1954, Maude was married to Klaas Pruisman on October 3, 1963 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. In her lifetime Maude lived in Taopi, Minnesota, Dexter, Minnesota, Austin, Minnesota, Manly, Iowa and Kanawha, Iowa before moving to Decorah, Iowa in March of 2000. She enjoyed providing special meals and favorite treats for her family and relatives on holidays and at reunions. Maude was a very active member of Kanawha Lutheran Church for many years. Playing board games and cards with her children and grandchildren was a favored pastime with Skip-Bo ranking high. She belonged to several card clubs over the years. She was a very competitive card player and usually won the high prize. Music was a special part of her life. She and Klaas loved to dance and did so beautifully. Lawrence Welk was her all-time favorite. She and Klaas enjoyed many trips with the Hackers. Another favorite activity was camping with all of her children and grandchildren. She, indeed, was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
