SERVICES SATURDAY FOR WALTER PLETCHER

Funeral services for Walter Pletcher were held Saturday afternoon January 1 at the Church of Christ in Clarion. Rev. Calvin Milan, minister of the church officiated and burial was at the Clarion Evergreen cemetery with Eyler Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Fletcher, 75, was a retired farmer and operator of the Florence Elevator near Clarion. He died Thursday morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Madsen at Shenandoah. He had been making his home with the Robert Perry's here, but had been visiting for the past two weeks with the Madsens. He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by one son, Raymond of Clarion, and four daughters, Mrs. Keith King and Mrs. Robert Perry of Clarion, Mrs. Richard Madsen of Shenandoah and Miss Maxine Fletcher of Des Moines, 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Amos of Eagle Grove and Ed of Manson and one sister, Mrs. Henry Thompson of Cedar Rapids.
