Mrs. Sevina Knutson, 77, Wahonsa Manor, died Monday at Seattle, Wash., while visiting a sister. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Bruce Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Palmer B. Wold, pastor of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Surviving are children, Mrs. Dorance (Clara) Van Hoff, Fort Dodge; Arthur Knutson, Winterset; Mrs. Bob (Luella) Shipler, Fort Dodge; Mrs. Marian Clare, Fort Wayne, Ind,; Merle Knutson and Raymond Knutson, both of Fort Dodge; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Agnes Ditzenburger, Fort Dodge; Herman Hanson, Eagle Grove; Otto Hanson, Fort Dodge; and Mrs. Elsie Clark, Kirkland, Wash. A son, Robert L. Knutson, Fort Dodge, died May 13, 1983.

Sevina M. Hanson was born in Paxton, Ill., moved at an early age with her family to Eagle Grove, and attended schools there. She married Osmund Knutson in 1927 in Eagle Grove, and the couple farmed in the Thor and Hardy areas and later the Bode area before moving to Fort Dodge in 1944. In 1945 Mrs. Knutson became employed at the Rosedale Creamery which later became the Fort Dodge Creamery, retiring in 1965. Mr. Knutson died in 1973. Mrs. Knutson was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and the Eagles Auxiliary.
