Katherine Daeschlein, St. Helen, Michigan. Passed away Monday, July 2, 2001 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Age 78 years. Katherine Burback was born June 3, 1923 in Eagle Grove, Iowa to the late Conrad and Katherine (Pfenning) Burback. She married Elmer Daeschlein on June 2, 1951 in Saginaw. He survives her. She was employed by Lufkin Rule for many years. Surviving besides her husband, Elmer are stepchildren, Carolyn and Peter Navarre; Beverly and Robert Jacobson; three step-grandchildren, Steven, Julie and Bob; a sister, Anne Klemish; two sisters-in-law, Mary Burback and Violet Burback; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2001 at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. Rev. Douglas W. Kahl will officiate. Burial will take place in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Frankentrost. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
