Addison Bradshaw Trueblood

A. B. Trueblood, 56, a former resident of Lehigh, died Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Hamilton County Hospital, Webster City, of complications following an operation. He had been in failing health several years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Foster funeral home, Webster City, and at 2 o’clock at the United Brethren church here with the Rev. Lester Heck of Lehigh and the Rev. Mr. Schesselman of Galt officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City.

Addison Bradshaw Trueblood was born March 5, 1887, on a farm in Indiana and when 14 years old moved to Jay county, Ind., where he spent his youth. June 28, 1908, he married Sadie Shauver in Portland, Ind., and the same year the couple moved to Lehigh where Mr. Trueblood was employed in the tile plant several years. Later he moved to Webster City where he was employed in a tile plant and the last five years he had lived on a farm five miles southwest of Galt. A sister, three brothers, three sons and a daughter preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife; six children, Mrs. Eldridge Hammitt of Lehigh, Durward of Lehigh, Paul of Lehigh, Mrs. Lawrence Larson of Britt, Sam of Fort Dodge and Ralph at home; ten grandchildren, two brothers, Thomas of Portland, Ind., and James of Lehigh, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Metz and Mrs. Lilly Anderson, both of Portland, Ind. Mr. Trueblood was a member of the Lehigh U.B. church.
