Alfred Melvin Lunde, 69, operator of the Thrift Shop in Eagle Grove, died suddenly at his home Sunday following a heart attack. Mr. Lunde moved to Eagle Grove about five years ago from Clarion where he was a retired engineer on the Chicago Great Western Railroad. He was born and reared in Dodge County, Minn. He later was married there, then moved to Clarion. Surviving Mr. Lunde are his widow, Lola; two sons, Leland Lunde of Cedar Rapids and Lynn Lunde of Lodi, Calif.; and two daughters Mrs. Joy Severson of La Mirada, Calif., and Mrs. Connie Perkins of Wake Island in the Pacific. Also surviving are two brothers, Oliver Lunde of Avon, Minn., and Herman Lunde, living in Illinois. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10 a. m. in the Kastler Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. The Rev. Lyle Lieder, pastor of the Eagle Grove Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hayfield, Minn.
