Death of C. A. SHADE

C. A. Shade of Jackson township died at Waterloo, Iowa, on last Saturday, while on his return from Rochester, Minn. He went to Rochester on July 16, where it was learned that he was suffering from a tumor, on the 24th he underwent an operation and received every possible care and attention, but it failed to give more than temporary relief. He started home on Monday of last week, and his condition becoming much worse, he was taken to the hospital at Waterloo. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Jackson Giddens was held at the Maple Grove church yesterday and burial made in the Winterset Cemetery. Mr. Shade came here from Wright county in 1911, locating on the Hamilton Lee farm eight miles west of Winterset.
