Irene Marie Fitz, age 76, of Iowa Falls, died on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the North Iowa Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 P.M. Sunday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.
Irene Marie Fitz was born on March 30, 1933 in Clarion, Iowa, the daughter of George and Ruth (Beer) Kelling. She was united in marriage to Burton Fitz on April 22, 1951 in Clarion. Irene is survived by her husband, Burton; a daughter, Linda Fitz-Horioka and her husband, George of Newport Beach, CA; four brothers, Raymond Kelling of Ft. Dodge, Richard Kelling of Forrest City, Charles Kelling of Stratford, TX; and Joseph Kelling of Eagle Grove. He was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George and Robert Kelling and a sister, Ilene Gardalen.
