Ardis K. Jessee – age 60, of Pocahontas, Iowa passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa after battling cancer for the past year. Ardis Kay Berhow was born April 20, 1950, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was the daughter of Arden and Irene (Olson) Berhow. She attended grade school in Thor and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1968. Ardis worked as a Branch Manager of a bank in Des Moines for 17 years. On April 20, 1987, Ardis married Olan Jessee at their home near Pocahontas. The couple settled on the farm where they raised their family. Ardis attended the Evangelical Covenant Church. She was baptized and confirmed at the Thor Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed baking, crocheting and using her computer.

Survivors include her husband, Olan of Pocahontas; children, David Jessee of Alma, WI and Jill Jessee of Indianola; mother-in-law, Alice Jessee of Pomeroy; sisters, Judy Bell of Fort Dodge, Carol (Gary) Witt of Davenport; Linda (Ron) Spangler of Eagle Grove; Mary (Terry) Lerdal of Goldfield; Sue (Dave) Prehm of New Hampton; Diane (Keith) Totzke of Port Orchard, WA and Janis (Jim) Bartley of Eagle Grove and many nieces & nephews. Ardis was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Don Bell.
