CLARION/EAGLE GROVE, IA - Clifford James Starling, the son of Lloyd E., Jr. and Mary A. (Cavanaugh) Starling, was born on March 27, 1968, in Adams, Wisconsin. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth. Clifford resided in Wisconsin, Eagle Grove, Goldfield and Clarion. He worked as a carpenter for Lalor Construction of Eagle Grove for 16 years. Clifford died on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, at the age of 42 years. He was preceded in death by his father in 2005 and his grandparents.

Survivors include his children: Rachel Swosinski of West Alice, WI, Brandon Luke of Eagle Grove, Tiffany Starling of Webster City and Dillon Meir of Reedsburg, WI; step-son, Scott Luke of Eagle Grove; granddaughters, Alana and Raina Swosinski of West Alice, WI; mother, Mary Starling of Clarion; sister, Jenine Patrick and husband Phillip of Radcliff, KY; brothers, Parry Starling of Grand Marsh, WI and Russell Starling and wife Dena of Grand Marsh, WI and several others relatives and friends.

Visitation with a luncheon to follow will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
