CLEAR LAKE, Iowa - Patricia Louise Meyer, age 80, of Clear Lake passed away Wednesday (March 3, 2010) at the Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake. Memorial services for Pat Meyer will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 304 W. Main St., Latimer. Pastor Marvin Lorenz will officiate. Committal services will be held at the Hampton Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday. Dugger Funeral Home in Latimer is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Louise, the daughter of Leslie and Viola Olson Smith, was born March 1, 1930, in Ruthven. Pat grew up in northern Iowa where she attended and graduated from Woolstock High School. Pat worked for the REC before getting married.
Patricia was united in marriage to Arthur Meyer on Feb. 24, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton. The couple made their home in several north Iowa communities before settling in Clear Lake. Pat was a full time mother and housewife. She worked for the Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake for 17 years. Pat enjoyed bowling, playing cards and going on casino trips. Her greatest love was her family. Spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, was Pat's passion, especially at the holidays. Patricia was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Latimer. Patricia is survived by her husband, Arthur; children, Steven and wife, Carol, of Clear Lake; Michael and wife, Theresa of Westville, Ind., Mark and wife, Carol, of Long Beach, Calif., Julie Malakowsky and husband, Steven of Wells, Minn., Jodie Dahl and husband, Mark, of Clear Lake, Jackie Grupp and husband, Jeff of Hanover, Minn., Jolene Marsh and husband, Steven, of Lake Crystal, Minn.; 18 grandchildren, Katie, Annie, Nicholas, Crystal, Jennifer, Lisa, Guy, Paige, Brian, Jacob, Amanda, Brittany, Carl, Melissa, Rebecca, Erika, Andrea and Levi. Also, her three great grandchildren, Christopher, Shawn and Isaac; a sister, Donna Abbas and husband, George of Hampton; and numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Dugger Funeral Home.
