MASON CITY - Elna P. Pralle, 90, of 1037 19th St. S.W., died Thursday (May 13, 1999) at the I.O.O.F. Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Lutheran Church, Mason City, with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Coulter Cemetery, Coulter. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Major-Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. The family suggests memorials to St. James Lutheran Church or the Elna P. Pralle Memorial Fund.

Elna was born March 19, 1909, in Coulter, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Petersen) Norgaard. She graduated from Coulter High School. She married Edward Pralle on Oct. 29, 1932, at Latimer. The Pralles farmed around the Alexander, Coulter and Hampton areas before moving to Mason City in 1959. She worked as a cook for Heritage Care Center in Mason City, retiring in 1976. Elna was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Do Days, quilted at St. James Lutheran Church, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by a son, Robert D. Pralle and his wife, Carole, of Wolfeboro Falls, N.H.; a daughter, Marcia Buls and husband, Charles, of Guttenberg; and a son, Dean E. Pralle and his wife, Debbie, of Mason City; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Roger; two sisters, Helga and Agnes; and a brother in infancy.
