HAMPTON, IA — LaDonna Jean Viet, 69, of Hampton, died Monday (Dec. 22, 2003) at the Belmond Medical Center in Belmond. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton, with the Rev. Richard Parker and the Rev. Art Zewert officiating. Burial will be in the Dumont Cemetery in Dumont. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until time of the service Saturday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home.

LaDonna was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Franklin County, to Raymond and Vera Wells Froning. She attended Hampton High School and received her GED from NIACC. She was united in marriage to Galen Viet on June 1, 1952, in Hampton. She retired from Franklin General Hospital as a supervisor. She was a member of the Neighborhood Bible Church in Hampton. She enjoyed going to rummage sales, fishing, working, decorating, being with her grandkids and dog Mitzi. She also enjoyed spending the summer in Clear Lake.

She is survived by her husband, Galen Viet, of Hampton; a son, Dennis R. and wife, Linda Viet, of Hampton; a son, Randy L. and wife, Holly Viet, of Hampton; a daughter, Kristie K. and husband, Jeff Meints, of Sheffield; a daughter, Debra J. and husband, Tony Plagge, of Hampton; sister, Margaret Huisman, of North Highlands, Calif.; sister, Shirley and husband, Verlon Siems, of Hampton; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers and one sister. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home.
