POPEJOY, Iowa -- Grace Elizabeth Crabtree, 94, of Popejoy, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000 at Scenic Manor Nursing Home, Iowa Falls, of heart failure; survivors include a son, Melvin of Iowa Falls; three daughters, Dorothy Ziesman of Alden, Allalee Bubeck of Clarion and Janet Bartlett of Fort Dodge; 29 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clement Dreyer of Zion, Ill.; she was preceded in death by her husband, Dezell M., in 1985; two daughters, Ellen Gedes and Lorraine Gorder; three brothers, Paul, James and Ed Dreyer; and two infant granddaughters; services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Popejoy, with burial in Alden Cemetery, Alden; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Surls Funeral Home, Iowa Falls, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.; Mrs. Crabtree had worked at the apron factory in Zion, then later she and her husband farmed until 1970.
