June 4, 1907 -- July 31, 2002

Clara M. Hall, of the Syverson Nursing Home in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed Wednesday morning July 31, 2002, at the home. She had reached the age of 95 years, 1 month and 27 days. She was born on June 4, 1907 to Charles and Lettie (Scoles) Daniels in Augusta, Wisconsin. She attended Augusta Grade School and graduated from Augusta High School in 1925. She was united in marriage to Lynn William Hall on October 6, 1925 in Augusta. The couple lived in Waukesha, and briefly in California, before moving to Clarion, Iowa in 1939. In the early 1940's they moved to Dows, Iowa where they owned and operated Hall's Locker Plant until their retirement in 1965. After her husband passed away on Jan. 7, 1969, Clara continued to live in Dows, and worked part time at Moray's Variety Store, and cooked at Dows Nursing Home. In 1990 she moved to the Senior Housing Center in Colo, Iowa, to be closer to her daughter and her family. In February of 1999, she moved into the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. Clara loved to bake. Her delicious brownies will never be forgotten. Her other favorite pastimes were crocheting and sewing. Throughout the years she crocheted many, many blankets. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret (and Richard) Crane of Colo and Shirley Young of Rochester, Minnesota; a half brother, Charles "Harry" (and Lillian) Daniels of Augusta; seven grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren.
