Lloyd Rudisill Rites Wednesday

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational church for Lloyd Rudisill, 78, a Belmond resident for about the past 4 1/2 years. He died Monday at Belmond Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. Rev. J. Samuel Shelby conducted the final rites, Johnson Funeral Home being in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Belmond cemetery. Pallbearers were Olaf Kleveland of Renwick, Floyd Doctor, Stephen Hinman, Elmer Chapman, George Hinman and Roy Pals. Born at Brookville, Ill., on Nov. 28, 1887, the deceased was the son of Isaiah and Mary Rudisill. He served as a young man in the U. S. Armed Forces during World War I. Afterward, he lived for several years near Woden and later at Clarion. He followed the occupation of farming and later, when semi-retired, did painting. He made Belmond his home after marrying Nellie Smith in April of 1961.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a brother, John of Woden; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Pearl) Murr of Mason City Mrs. Pete (Lydia) Gruenwald of Britt and Mrs. Arthur (Bertha) Mauss of Estherville; also a stepson, Robert Smith of Kanawha, and grandson, Alex Smith of Vincennes, Ind. His first wife, a sister and brother preceded Mr. Rudisill in death.
