Mrs. Otis Johnson Dies Sunday

Gertrude M. Johnson, 76, Dows, died at the Ellsworth hospital In Iowa Falls Sunday night. She was the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Stears. She was born Sept. 26, 1889 at Anderson, Ind. She married Otis Johnson, Feb. 9, 1911 at Cloves, New Mexico. They came to Dows in 1917 to live. She is survived by her husband, Otis, a daughter, Mrs. R. J. Buzzetti, Alden; a son. Carl Johnson of La Mirada, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. E. Feagans, Santa Barbara, Calif.; eight grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, two sisters and one brother in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Methodist church in Dows. Burial will be in the Fairvlew cemetery. Rev. Donald Harbour will officiate. The Van Hove Funeral home in Dows is in charge.
