Mrs. Eber L. Aldrich, 88, Hawarden, Iowa, died on October 5, 1970 in the Hawarden Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held for her at 10:00 a.m. October 7 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. William Carol. Burial was at the Church Cemetery with Dow Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Former Carolyn Francis Kacheihoffer was born December 7, 1881 at Freeport, Illinois. She married Mr. Aldrich at Rock Rapids on October 6, 1908, and they resided at Cherokee, Eagle Grove and Boon until they moved to Hawarden in 1933. Mr. Aldrich died in 1934. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. E. V. (Edith) Slife, Sr. of Hawarden; sons, Joseph of Hawarden, Glenn of LaHabra, Cal., Gene of Newport Beach, Cal., Edward of Whittier, Cal.,and Bob of Rochester, NY; sister, Mrs. W. F. (Agnes) Lynch of Luverne, Minnesota; and 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Eber L. Aldrich was preceded in death by her son, Anthony in 1965 and her grandson, Merle in 1948. Pallbearers were David Aldrich, Richard Aldrich, Gene Lee Aldrich, Duane Aldrich, E. Joseph Aldrich II, and Thomas Aldrich.
