David Lind, 56, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Hampton, Iowa, passed away February 9, 2010, in the Philippine Islands. He was born on June 25, 1953, in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Delos and Arla Lind. His childhood was spent in the towns of Rowan, Sheffield, Forest City and then Hampton, where he graduated from Hampton High School in 1971. Growing up, David enjoyed spending time out on the family farm, and snowmobiling and motorcycling with friends. In high school, David played trumpet in the high school band and was in Future Farmers of America. After high school, David received his degree from NIACC. His career choices included working with electronics, owning a bowling alley, A&W restaurant, and a sign business. His most recent employer was the Springfield School District. David is survived by his mother Arla Lind, sister Deanne Lind Boss and nieces Alyssa, Kaitlyn and Nicole Boss. David was preceded in death by his father Delos Lind.
