Forrest Melvin Boring - age 70 of Maryville, Tennessee went home to be with his Lord on Monday, March 29, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Knoxville, TN. He is preceded in death by parents, Vera & Clifford Boring. Survived by his loving wife, Gloria Boring; daughters, Debbie Judson, Maryville, TN; Judy DeLuca, West Warwick, RI; Robyn Corrigan, Montverde, FL, and Chris Rolow, Fort Dodge, Iowa; sisters, Rosemary Johnson, Billie Jorgenson, Sherry Jorgenson and Judy Kahler of Iowa. Also survived by nine (9) loving grandchildren and four (4) great-grandchildren. He was a member of Lanier Open Bible Baptist Church in Maryville. He retired from the Navy. Visitation will be Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Chapel of Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens, from 12 noon till 2:00 pm, with the service to follow. There will be a reception at Lanier Open Bible Baptist Church following the service. A special thanks to Select Specialty at St. Mary's Hospital and his special Church family. Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens is honored to help the Boring family.

MARYVILLE, Tenn. - Forrest (Buck) M. Boring, age 70, passed away on March 29, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn., near Maryville, Tenn. where he resided. He was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Eagle Grove, Iowa to Clifford and Vera (Fairchild) Boring. He was a 1958 graduate of Eagle Grove High School. He was a member of the National Guard and joined the Army after graduation and before retiring from the service had served in the Navy, also. He served three tours in Vietnam working with the Sea Bees. After retiring from the service, he held several positions where he managed and operated large equipment which was one of his loves.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; son, Buck Boring (Becky McCubbin) and daughter, Chris Boring Rolow (Brad Stoffel), Fort Dodge; three stepdaughters, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; Billee (Jerry) Jorgensen, Fort Dodge; Sherry (Wally) Jorgensen (Sherry is now deceased on 4/25/10), Spirit Lake, Iowa; Judy (Terry) Kahler, Badger; and Rosemary (Art) Johnson, Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Buck enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and reading the Bible and spending time with the Lord each morning. He also enjoyed working in his yard and raising beautiful flowers. He will be greatly missed by all of his family.
