Mr. Walter Phipps died Tuesday morning, September 3, at his home in Renwick, following a heart attack. He was 67 years old. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 5, 1940 in the home at two o'clock and at the Renwick Methodist church at two-thirty. The Rev. Paul Neal officiated at the services. Mrs. C. A. Richardson sang "I've Done My Work" by Carrie Jacobs Bond, and "Satisfied." She was accompanied at the piano by C. A. Richardson. Fritz Britt, Carl Flemmig, James Kelling, George Latch, Alfred Martin and Merle Richardson, served as pallbearers. Burial was made in the Luni cemetery. Among those from out-of-town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nemners and daughter of Hampton; Mrs. Alice Agard, Mrs. Jennie Kelling, Mrs. Emily Mantle, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pinkham of Goldfield; and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Agard of Luverne.
