Dallas George Heeren
July 16, 1919 – October 10, 2008
Funeral will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the New Hope Parish United Methodist Church in Dumont, with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, Minnesota. Visitation will be Monday from 4-6 PM at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont. Pastor Larry Pauley will officiate the service.
Dallas George Heeren, 89, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away October 10, 2008, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa. He was born July 16, 1919, in Hampton, Iowa, to George T. and Ida L. (Plummer) Heeren. Dallas attended school at Hansell Consolidated School. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1941 - 1945. Dallas married Berdine Jamison on March 3, 1945, in Janesville, Iowa. He was a farmer and was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Dumont American Legion. Dallas is survived by his brother Carl & wife Dorothy Heeren of Hampton, nephew Dean & wife Vickie Heeren of Hampton, nephew Steve & wife Holly Heeren of Alexander, niece Mary Hawley of Belmond, nephew Paul Heeren of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his wife and son Duane.
