September 4, 1925 – October 7, 2008

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 P.M. at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Visitation will be on Friday at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton from 11:30 A.M. until service time. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery. Pastor Jan Ekstedt will be officiating.

Morris Parks, 83, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away October 7, 2008, at the Franklin General Hospital Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa. He was born September 4, 1925, in Hampton, Iowa, to Wesley Sr. and Marjorie (Cross) Parks. Morris attended schools in Alexander and Hampton. He was married to Stella Bower in Mason City in 1949. Morris worked as a carpenter and built many homes in the Hampton area. He attended services at the First Christian Church in Hampton. Morris enjoyed playing cards, visiting with friends and building things. He will be remembered by those who knew him as an encouraging person and a great listener.

Morris is survived by his brother Don Parks of Hampton, brother Stan Parks of Des Moines, brother Wesley Jr. and wife Pauline Parks of Sheffield, sister Maryanne Marchellino of Hampton, brother Eugene and wife Marlys Parks of Charles City, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and dear friend Shirley Hawver. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Richard Parks, daughter Donna Thompson, brother Bernard Higgens and grandson Kelly Parks.
