ROGERS, AR — Richard Marvis Brock, 77, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Rogers, Ark. He was born June 2, 1932, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Glen C. Brock and Elizabeth Pearl Reed Brock. He loved to travel the United States, Mexico, and Canada by motor home. He enjoyed flying his own planes and building and racing sprint cars. He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, and an avid Razorbacks fan. He spent most of his life as a farmer in the Hardy, Iowa, and Renwick, Iowa area, where he was an active deacon and member of the United Methodist Church of Renwick. Most recently, he was a bus driver for the Pea Ridge, Ark. School District.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Brock. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Marilyn “Dedy” Bailey Brock; one son, Greg Brock and wife Sandy of Paris, Texas; two daughters, Deb Torgerson and husband Craig of Des Moines, Iowa, and Pam Connelly and husband Chris of Rogers; one brother, Gordon Brock and wife Ester of Humboldt, Iowa; two stepsons, Joe Del Barto and wife Lucia of Mesa, Ariz. and Rick Del Barto and wife Nikki of Cedar Park, Texas; one stepdaughter, Julie Del Barto of Arlington, Texas; 17 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the First Presbyterian Church of Rogers with the Rev. Jeff Parks. A private family committal service will be on Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas. Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.
