West Des Moines, IA -- Elizabeth R. Smith, 83, went to be with her Lord on October 20, 2009, at her home in West Des Moines. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26 at First Lutheran Church in Dows. Mrs. Smith was a retired executive secretary, insurance agent, and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Myron “Mike" Smith; son, Dennis (Sue) of Madera, CA; daughter, Karen (Steven) Lonsdale of Stuart; brothers, Bud (Norma Gail) Russell, Larry (Kay) Russell, Richard (Betty) Fibikar; sister, Norma Jean Hill; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dows.
