Helene Josephine Saxton, 76, of Grinnell, Iowa died of cancer Friday, Oct. 2, 1992 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Zearing. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. Arvid Dixen officiating. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Fredregill Funeral Home of Zearing in charge of arrangements.

She was the daughter of John and Annie Moen Vought and was born Feb. 10, 1916, in Hardy, Iowa. She was a 1933 graduate of Vernon High School in Renwick. She was married to Hubert Saxton, Feb. 10, 1934, in Hardy. Mrs. Saxton worked as a nurse's aide at Grinnell General Hospital until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are four daughters, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one granddaughter.
