Lila Mable Frakes, the daughter of Lars B. and Hazel M. (Hill) Larson, was born on April 1, 1921, in Mapleton, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in the Eagle Grove area. In 1937, Lila married Chester Warner and they later divorced. On April 23, 1946, Lila married Gale N. Frakes in Nevada. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Gale preceded her in death on July 20, 1983. Lila was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Eagle Grove. She was also a lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary. Lila taught Sunday School and served as a Girl Scout Leader.

Lila passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Bethany Manor in Story City, at the age of 88 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald C. Warner; brothers, Wallace Larson, Earl Larson, Lars Larson, Jr. and Lewis Larson; sisters, Hazel Clagett and Lois Sumners. Survivors include her son, Dareld D. Warner and wife Nancy of Universal City, TX; daughter, Diana L. Nelson-Moroz and husband Tony of Story City; 8 grandchildren, Michael Nelson, Stephanie Miller, Laurie Abrahamson, Wendy Warner, Christopher Warner, Kenneth Warner and Kellie Monteleone; 8 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kathy Warner of Melbourne, FL; sisters: Betty Conaway of Eagle Grove, Sonia Martini of Langhorne, PA and Nelda Kiley of Eagle Grove and brother, Richard Larson of Pearland, TX.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010, at 3:00 P.M. at First Assembly of God Church in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove at a later date. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
