Beryl B. Jenison, 88, West Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008, in MeritCare Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Beryl Burton Jenison was born on September 6, 1920 at Belmond, IA where he grew up on a farm and graduated from high school. He was a WWII veteran and served in Africa and Egypt from 1942 to 1945. On January 10, 1947 he married Marjorie Barningham at Ogilvie, MN. They lived there until moving to West Fargo in 1948. Beryl worked his whole career in the lumber business employed by Dakota Lumber, Farm & Home Lumber, Leo Lumber, Crane Johnson Lumber, North Central Distributing and Thermo Pak. In 1990, he retired. Beryl enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and for many years spending summers on Leaf Lake in Minnesota where he did a lot of fishing. He was very proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved the time he spent with them. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a life member of the West Fargo VFW. He also served on the West Fargo Airport Authority and the West Fargo Park District.

Beryl is survived by his wife, Marjorie, West Fargo; sons, Gary (Joan) Jenison, Hawley, MN and Bradley (Shawn) Jenison, Leonard, ND; daughters, Sharon (Gene) Rudolph, West Fargo and Laurel Lindemann, Bismarck, ND; brother, Jean (Elsie) Jenison, Braham, MN; sisters, Carolyn (Julian) Turner, Mora, MN and Norma Henricksen, Ringsted, IA; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Irva (Schneider) Jenison and son, Ronald Leroy Jenison.

Visitation: Saturday from 5 to 7 with a prayer service at 7 in West Funeral Homes, West Fargo, ND.

Funeral Service: Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 2 in Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo.

Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND
