Ernest Leroy "Bud" Rubendall, 72, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Grinnell, died Saturday, May 4, in Mesa. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mesa. Mr. Rubendall was a native of Dows, Iowa. He was married to Mary Jean Sills Aug. 31, 1946, in Boone. He formerly owned and operated Pagliai's Pizza and the Other Side Supper Club in Grinnell. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Valerie Fleming and Susan Ford; two sons, Daniel and Charles; one sister, Ione Foust; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, four brothers, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
