March 10, 1956 -- May 24, 2001

John L. Christian, 45, of Boulder Hill, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, May 23, 2001 at his parents home after a long illness. Mr. Christian was born March 10, 1956 in Clarion, Iowa, but has lived in Aurora most of his life. He worked for the Batavia School District for the past 20 years and was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Aurora and the Moose Club. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and motorcycle riding. Survivors include his wife whom he married November 4, 2000, Kathy Quiles Christian of Montgomery; one son, Johnathan Christian of Aurora; his parents, Jerry and Shirley Peterson Christian of Aurora; one sister, Mary (Dave) Morrissette of Aurora; one brother, Robert Christian of Texas; two nieces, Melissa and Kristin Morrissette; three nephews, Jim Christian, Joshua and Conner Morrissette; and his in-laws, Delmer and Phyllis Christian.

Calling for Mr. Christian will be held on Friday, May 25, 2001 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway (Rt. 25), Montgomery. Services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2001 at 1:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home where friends may call from 12 Noon until time of services. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. A luncheon will also be held on Saturday at 2:30 PM at 1st Presbyterian Church Of Aurora, 325 Downer, Aurora. Memorial contributions may be made to John's family c/o Dieterle Memorial Home.
