Shirley Louise Christian, 68, of Aurora passed away December 16, 2004. She was born March 1, 1936 in Clarion, IA, the daughter of George F. and Louise M. Peterson. Shirley was a member of WOW Bible study at First Presbyterian Church. She loved playing BINGO. Shirley devoted her life to her husband, Jerry and she adored her grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Christian of Aurora; her children, Robert L. Christian of Aurora and Mary (Dave) Morrissette of Aurora; two brothers, Donald (Helen) Peterson of Alaska and John (Paulette) Peterson of Ft. Dodge, IA; six grandchildren, Jim Christian of Aurora, Johnathan (Sandy) Christian of Aurora, Missy Morrissette of Aurora, Kristin Morrissette of Aurora, Connor Morrissette and Joshua Morrissette of Aurora and her best friend, Jill Olin of Aurora. Her son, John L. Christian; her parents; and her brother, Richard Peterson preceded her in death.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL. Funeral services Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park [Oswego, Illinois].
