May 21, 1996GARNER, IA-- Pam Wesenberg Christiansen, 51, died Sunday (May 19, 1996) at the Ann Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis Md. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 1996, at the Amsterdam Township Cemetery, east of Goodell. The Rev. Jerry Robertson will officiate. Classmates will be casket bearers. There will be no visitation. Cataldo Funeral Home of Garner is in charge of arrangements.
Pamela Rose Christiansen, the daughter of Wayne Emerson and Viola Beatrice (Thorson) Wesenberg was born March 13, 1945 at Mason City. She attended school at Garner, graduating from Garner-Hayfield High School in 1963. Pam continued her education at Drake University in Des Moines, where she received her B.A. Degree in 1967. She was married to Dennis Christiansen in Des Moines, Iowa in 1967. Pam and her family lived in Arnold, Md. for 22 years. She was the office administrator for the Maryland Department of Transportation in Annapolis. She enjoyed her family, gardening, needlepoint and making dolls. While living in Garner, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. In Maryland, she belonged to the Annapolis Chorale and the U.S. Naval Academy Choir.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Christiansen; two sons, Clayton Page Christiansen of Arnold, Md., and Cortland Randall Christiansen of Hollywood, Calif.; two sisters, Patricia Weisbrat and her husband, Howard, of Portsmouth, N.H., and Paula Rowland of Medina, N.Y.; three nieces, Lesley Ann Weisbrat, Jessica Lynn Rowland, and Julie Ann Rowland; and an aunt, Eunice Kurtz of Belmond. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Wesenberg; and her mother, Viola Wesenberg, Nov. 24, 1990.
