YORK, PA-- Paul F. Prelip, 86, died on Sunday, December 20, 2009, at 8 a.m. at Manor Care Health Services Kingston Court. He was the husband of Helen M. (Fry) Prelip, with whom he celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on July 1, 2009. Viewing will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York, with the service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Mitchell M. Galloway, pastor of Fourth UM Church, will officiate with burial to follow at Mount Rose Cemetery.

Mr. Prelip was born March 4, 1923 in Kanawha, Iowa, the son of the late Frank and Julia (Andreason) Prelip. He was a carpenter with Harold Hogg and Curt Boyd Contractors and a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Prelip was a member of the Twelfth Ward Independent Democratic Club, and an avid hunter and woodworking craftsman. Mr. Prelip is survived by his wife; two daughters, Roberta 'Roby' A. Goldsborough and husband, Richard of York and Nancy L. Starner and husband, Steven of York; four grandchildren, Christine Arter, Jason, Jeremy and Joshua Starner; three great-grandchildren, Melissa, Jacob and Masin; two brothers, Leo Prelip of California and Guy Prelip of Texas; two sisters, Frances Wilson of California and Nelda Prelip of Iowa; and nieces and nephews.
